In 2006 6X unleashed two very powerfull albums onto the world electronic music scene; "Dead Winter", a brief but harrowing IDM statement about World War II, and "Broken Machine", an apocalyptic view of the current state of affairs. Although both albums had previously only been available exclusively on this website, they are now both available though digital distribution channels, and are available on iTunes.

In 2007, on "musicformachines.com", 6X once again made a powerful socio-political statement. This time the comment is on the relationship between modern machines and traditional/religious holidays. Curious but incredibly interesting I.D.M. beats color the landscape of these evocative compositions like the gradual increase of blinking lights on a skyscraper as dusk turns to night.

Then, in 2008, after releasing "Beginning. Middle. Dead", 6X officially changed their name to musicformachines.com and released "6X2". This time the commentary turns to mathematics, as it not only pertains to music and technology, but to the secrets and fundamentals of the universe.

In 2010, musicformachines.com released "a:b:OUT". But what is it really about?

Again, in 2011, musicformachines.com put out two very specific statements. The first, "#occupy", is 5-song EP in support of the Wall Street Occupation and against greed and corruption worldwide. The second, "Iceland", a full-lenght album, is a surprising tribute to the country of its namesake.

In 2013, musicformachines.com released "Everything is $#it", clearly as a reflection of the current times.

In 2014 musicformachines.com released just a single, "Is Now Later?", but follow it up in 2015 with the critically acclaimed EP, "Anhedonia".

Finally, in 2016, musicformachines.com release a "best of" album titled "2005-2015 R.I.P.", but don't release any further information on the future of this well-beloved underground electronic staple. Is this the end?
